Pledges
Daniel Lee doesn’t take money from polluters, police, developers, or insurance companies.
No Fossil Fuel Money
I pledge not to take contributions from oil, gas, and coal industry executives, lobbyists, and PACs so that the public can be confident that my votes on energy and environmental policy are in the best interests of my constituents.
As a candidate for office in California, I pledge not to take campaign contributions from climate polluters so that the public can be confident that my votes on energy and environmental policy are in the best interests of my constituents.
No Money from Police or Police Unions
In Los Angeles County alone over 900 people have been killed by police since the year 2000, but only two officers have been charged.
Politicians funded by police cannot hold them to account.
No Money from Real Estate Developers
Our statewide housing crisis continues unabated. The housing policies being championed at the state level have been forward-looking when it comes to physical construction and increasing the number of units available. But they have not incorporated the affordability concerns of communities who see blind upzoning as a tool of displacement, nor have they incorporated the concerns of organized labor.
No Money from Insurance Companies or the Medical Industial Complex
I will not take campaign contributions money from health insurance, hospital, pharmaceutical, medical device industries nor from foundations funded by those entities.
Pledge to Amend
We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling and other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.
Divest from the War Machine Pledge
I pledge to work to Divest from weapons companies and invest in ethical, life-affirming solutions
The only way we can achieve a peaceful world is if we reduce the power of those who profit from war.
